Shine Engineering, P.A. was founded in 2000. The firm's principal is John M. Shine, P.E. graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology. We are a consulting engineering firm in private practice responsible for the design of mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection systems. The firm provides contract engineering services for the construction of institutional, office, and industrial buildings, shopping centers, churches, hospitals, and apartment complexes. Shine Engineering is one of the leading engineering companies in LEED/Green design. The firm is completing its fifth LEED Platinum building and has committed to introducing Green/ Energy Efficient Design in all its design. Beginning at the conceptual design phase, Shine's engineers develop cost-effective solutions and maintain close contact with the design professionals to ensure a coordinated design effort. This eliminates costly change orders during the construction phase and contributes significantly to a construction project that is completed on time and within budget. The company is supported by a unique blend of highly educated professionals, including accredited members of NFPA, ASHRAE, ASME, and IEEE, as well as technicians who have extensive practical experience. The staff is construction-oriented and takes pride in their designs being buildable. The staff continues to enhance its performance by pursuing education advancement, participating in industry seminars, and attending professional society meetings and technical report committees.
