About Shropshire Mental Health Support
Shropshire MHS is a local charity operating within Shropshire & Telford and Wrekin, providing key support to anyone with mental health support needs. This can range from emotional support right the way through to key interventions, with a wide range of diverse services, providing Outreach, Dual Diagnosis Outreach, S136 aversion through Shropshire Sanctuary, Telephone support, Peer support groups, Mobile delivery service with our new vehicle, Bereavement Service, Calmer Cafes, Reconnect groups and much more. The charity is person-centred in its approach, providing support immediately from the point of contact. The charity works with many key partners and is the largest third-sector provider of mental health support within Shropshire. We have a huge amount of opportunities available for anyone wishing to volunteer, fundraise or work for us, please contact us for any further information or to discuss your support needs. Being a local charity is of paramount importance, one size does not fit all, a model that works in a large city is unlikely to have the same impact in an extremely rural county with many pockets of deprivation. Shropshire MHS champions the needs of local people and is currently supporting approximately 3.8 per cent of the population within the county.
