About Slope School
Only two other times in human history has the world changed as much as it is now: The invention of written language, and the printing press. The world is vastly different now that we have endless tech and knowledge at our fingertips. It's time that education catches up. Slope School is Student Lead meaning there are not traditional teachers. Instead we have world class "Guides," that come from all backgrounds. We strive to equip young people with the all the tools (tangible and intangible) to become "Heroes." In fact, we don't call them students, but "Heroes," because we believe that they are each on their own Hero's journey. As a hands-on "project based," school we have four "studios," with Heroes ages 3 to 16. - "Spark Studio," is our traditional Montessori school for 3-6 year-olds - "Curiosity Studio," allows 6-9 year-olds to build on the Montessori roots and begins to add additional skills to equip young people for our upper two studios. - "Discovery Studio," grants even more freedom to 10-12 year-olds as the continue to level up in their Hero's journey. - "Adventure Studio," is our oldest group for Heroes ages 13-16 who want to really prepare for the real world by building a tool box of real-life experience and skill sets as well as be excellent in traditional core skills like math and english.
