About South African Black Entrepreneurs Forum

During the Global Entrepreneurship Week in November, the South African Black Entrepreneurs Forum (SABEF) in partnership with FNB Commercial, will be hosting SMME Funding Convention on 21 November 2009 in Soweto, SABEF aims to foster citizen entrepreneurship and Broad-based Black Economic Empowerment (BB-BEE); achieve economic diversification; encourage the development of a competitive and sustainable SMME community; create sustainable employment opportunities; and largely improve the access to funding and business opportunities for SMMEs in the townships and rural settlements. In promotion of these objectives, SABEF presents The Soweto Funding Convention 2009 as the platform for progressive discussions and practical resolutions towards building countrywide capacity for SMME sector development and support. To ensure the success of this important SMME Funding Convention, key stakeholders’ involvement is essential.
