About Space City Camp
Space City Camp is a continuing initiative to bridge gaps in access and equity across competitive Speech and Debate. This mission works in the form of an annual camp hosted in late-June to early-July in which successful former competitors volunteer their time to provide 100% free, full-time coaching to students. Space Camp City came into inception following the success of four Alief Elsik High School graduates who's careers ultimately changed the trajectory of their lives. Understanding that it was good graces, kind favors, and sheer circumstance that lent way to such prominence, we made a firm commitment to replicate those conditions of success in communities that are typically denied access or knowledge of resources.
