About SquareSound

SquareSound was established in 2014 as a division of Soundfirm, the largest and most successful post-production company in Australia. We specialise in working with publishing houses and authors to produce audiobooks and podcasts, from pre-planning through to the mastering and delivery. Projects are led by our sound directors who have the particular experience and dedication required to bring to life these complex long-form productions. They work with our team of professionals who are highly respected in the industry for their expertise in voice direction, language adaptation, sound effects and editing. All production is undertaken in the comfort and creative ambience of Soundfirm’s state-of-the-art facilities in Melbourne and Sydney. A key service is casting, drawing on the vast database we’ve developed of actors and voice artists who understand and appreciate the intricacies of audiobook narration. We also enjoy working directly with authors who prefer to do their own narrations, providing them with all they need to prepare and deliver their words to best effect.
