Sturm & Cont, P.A. limits its practice to representing the interests of public entities, private businesses and insured individuals in a variety of legal areas. Our practice includes defending public and private employers in employment, labor, immigration, wage and hour, workplace safety and health, environmental law and general insurance defense matters. We assist proactive employers with creative strategies to first avoid legal conflicts and secondly, to put themselves in the best possible position to defend against litigation if it arises. If litigation cannot be avoided our attorneys have experience before state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as before administrative agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Department of Homeland Security (United States Citizenship and Immigration Service and Immigration Customs Enforcement), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Occupational Safety & Health Administration, the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission, the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, the South Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Review Board, and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
