About Swansea Community Energy

In 2016, we installed solar panels on 9 schools and a care home in Swansea. The solar panels will generate cleaner, greener and cheaper electricity for the sites for 20+ years, In November we will launch our community share offer, offering local residents the chance to invest between £50-20,000 in our project for a projected 6% return to pay off a £400k loan from ethical investor Robert Owen Community Banking Surplus profits (circa £400k) will be spent in the local community with priority given to those within 1 mile of the installations (our Community Benefit Fund.
