Techeds Solar PV Specialists Company Profile Introduction Techeds is a growing family business based in Norfolk but working nationwide. Ed, the managing director, has been working with Solar energy since 2010. In 2016 in response to increasing demand for his services, he established Techeds Ltd. Ed and his team have a lot of experience in working on projects in Africa and the UK but now concentrates on services designed to ensure large-scale PV plants work to maximum capacity from installation to end of life ensuring maximum income for investors and operators alike. What we do Our main business is providing Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services to several major clients. Some are long-term contracts, and we also respond to requests for O&M and other services on a short-term basis. This recognises our flexibility and willingness. A growing area of our services is Quality Control and Construction Monitoring and Reporting. Often entailing a 3-stage inspection and reporting process, it is possible to pre-empt problems and help ensure minor problems are identified and eliminated before they become big problems. This includes some major rooftop and ground mounts. We are also called upon more and more to ‘snag’ newly established sites and resolve faults and issues identified by third parties. This helps support Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC) and Final Acceptance Certificate (FAC) processes. Recently we have been supporting the Accelerated Loss of Mains Change Programme (ALoMCP) by attending sites and making the changes required under this programme. We can offer a complete O&M package, including Low Voltage (LV), High Voltage (HV), communications, and ground maintenance support. A new drone support service will be available in the middle part of 2023 to offer support with rooftop O&M and thermal surveys. This is a new and exciting project that will be especially useful in maintaining legacy rooftop systems that may have been forgotten about.
