About Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival

Each year the festival holds three major competitions; an international student film competition featuring films from 40 different countries, an Israeli student film competition in which approximately 10 film schools from around the country participate, and a competition for short independent films from Israel. Alongside the traditional competitions, this year we initiated a competition for short experimental films and a competition for digital media projects (V.R, A.R and M.R), in order to present projects using alternative technologies or mediums for classical cinema. In order to promote film students and recent graduates, the festival hosts guests of honor from within the local and international industry, and holds master classes, meetings, speed-dating events with students and producers, and pitching opportunities for recent graduates during which selected films are awarded short film production grants. The International Student Film Festival welcomes you to take part in this festive week and hear the voices of the young talents who represent the future generation of filmmakers in and outside of Israel.
