The Adam Project is a soon-to-be-launched 501(3)(c) nonprofit dedicated to providing free assistance to anyone who may be struggling with a mental health illness. In its first phase The Adam Project will provide a website with an ever-expanding directory of free resources or those seeking help for themselves or a loved one – whether it is in-person locally or online virtually. New content is being added daily. We aim to make navigation across a complex landscape as easy as possible by connecting people to free resources through searches that may be performed on a range of user-defined criteria -- such as location, condition, age, gender or ethnicity. Following the formal launch of the website we will begin soliciting donations to The Adam Project. Monies will be directed to Treatment Scholarships for those facing prohibitive cost barriers to evidence-based treatment and recovery programs. We are currently seeking willing volunteers to assist with our content curation efforts. The Adam Project is being founded by the President of HR Best Practices and is named for his son. Adam Gerver was a gifted young man who passed away in 2021 at 32 years old. The silver linings in Adam's passing was 1) his organs were used to save 4 lives and, 2) helping those struggling with mental / behavioral health through www.TheAdamProject.org.
