THE CHESTER VALUATION COMPANY The Chester Valuation Company specialises in home contents valuations and undertakes valuations for the purpose of Insurance, Inheritance Tax Assessment (Probate), Matrimonial Division and Family Division nationwide. We value not only fine art and antiques but also ceramics, silver, rugs, clocks, jewellery and general household and garden effects including statuary. Michael Hore has forty years' experience in the art and antiques world, having worked for Gurr Johns for sixteen years, then for Sotheby's heading their Valuations Department in Chester for five years before setting up CVC in 1991. We have undertaken valuations for stately home owners, a Middle Eastern royal family, Government departments, museums, art galleries, blue chip companies and hotels as well as private clients. We are on the approved panel of valuers for Hiscox, Chartis, Axa Art, Sterling and R.&S.A. amongst others and are recommended by Sotheby's who also use us on a consultancy basis. Leading insurance brokers nationwide specialising in high net worth clients also recommend us.
