The economic costs alone are more than 250 Billion USD per year; the social and cultural impact on people’s lives is even bigger. Imagine that this problem can be solved within our lifetime. Once and for all. The problem is known as Uncorrected Refractive Error, with the most common forms farsightedness and near-sightedness. There is nor cure to it, and in most cases, it cannot be prevented. But most of the time, all that people need is a pair of glasses on their nose to solve the problem. We are The Coalition for Clear Vision. We will make sure that every person on this planet has permanent access to affordable quality eye care services and glasses by the end of 2050.
