PURPOSE: The purpose of The Street Poets NYC Collective is to create and make a platform readily available for artist to perform, promote, network, and Love, in power. Our intentions are to help with the ongoing movement to restore Power to the people and remain beneficial to the community by being positive, powerful, and the illest to pay respects to our Artistry. MISSION: The mission of the Street Poets NYC Collective is to Uplift, Inspire, and inform the community of the creative energy affecting our people in a positive manner to continue with the tradition of style, knowledge, love, sway, sway, flavor, and POWER. These elements were passed down to us from our ForeMothers and ForeFathers such as Dr. Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes. Zora Neale Hurston, Alvin Ailey, Phylicia Rashad, Christopher Wallace, Micheal Jackson, and Our Moms – show respect. WHO ARE THE STREET POETS NYC? Together we are a growing family, unit, movement or Solo Artist’s & Acts who share the common denominator of creativity. As a unit we share power as individuals first. We help one another build including our respective communities so we will progress in separate as a collective. We share stages, photos, events, ideas, and Love. We want to remind you of where we came from.
