About The Healing Center Seattle
The Healing Center is a grief-support community for adults, children and families. Our clients are primarily adults who've lost a partner or spouse and children who've lost a parent or caregiver. Our community offers a unique, long-term, multi-faceted approach to grief support, combining structured therapy sessions with informal events and social networks. The Healing Center is a non-profit corporation providing grief-support groups for adults, children, and families. No one is turned away due to inability to pay. We rely on individual donations, foundation and corporate grants, other fund raising activities, and the efforts of volunteers to sustain and expand our services. While most other programs are short-term, we offer long-term and multi-faceted support. Clients can participate in structured programs and/or be a part of our community on a more informal basis. Many people are helped just by dropping in, attending potlucks, or even volunteering.
