About The Meadows

The Meadows is a community hub situated in the heart of Riverside and Chirton wards of North Tyneside. We provide a safe, welcoming space where local residents can meet new people, learn new skills and gain the confidence to make positive life choices. Next year is our 30th Anniversary and we are looking to connect with others to support our ambitious plans for future development. We work positively with local people to achieve our shared vision of a thriving community that's a great place to live, work and play. We offer a broad range of services to support our local community from our easily accessible centre including: - Digitally Connected - our supported IT suite where people can gain vital digital and employability skills. - Wise Steps - intensive support for those with multiple barriers to work. - Community Gardens - open to everyone and used to support adults with additional needs and students who are at risk of or excluded from school. to gain confidence and gardening skills. - Joinery Workshop - offering practical workshops and also used to support adults with additional needs and students who are at risk of or excluded from school to gain joinery and woodworking skills. - Community Cafe - Connected Kids Club - our after-school club for children aged 8-13 - Success4All - peer-led learning hub for pupils to gain maths, English and homework help - PAUSE - our project supporting those with alcohol dependencies plus lots of other activities and events for local people such as Yoga, Guitar Club, Cooking sessions and much more. We also deliver training to the Health & Social Care sector and have a range of rooms for hire suitable for everything from counselling through to bigger events.
