About The Re-Seasoning Coalition
The Re-Seasoning Coalition (TRSC) is a non-profit initiative dedicated to increasing the representation and propelling the advancement of Black Canadians across all levels of the foodservice industry. OUR VISION To forge a foodservice industry as enduring and adaptable as a well-seasoned cast iron skillet. We strive to create an environment where Black Canadians and those of other equity-deserving groups can thrive in their chosen careers, thereby enhancing the strength and success of the sector. Through our research, programming, network, and reputation, we aim to continually 're-season' the industry, fostering racial equity and representation, combating systemic inequalities, and ensuring every individual has the opportunity to reach their full potential. OUR VALUES Community - We strive to build a sense of support and belonging, and will seize opportunities to amplify and address the lived experiences of those within our industry, ensuring we’re attuned to their evolving realities, hurdles, and aspirations as we work towards systemic change. Equity - We advocate for interactions, programs, and opportunities that are grounded in fairness, active listening, and continuous learning to develop industry-specific solutions that are agile yet comprehensive. Innovation - We aim to be at the forefront of equity and anti-racism training for a diverse range of industry partners by leveraging our connections, research, and future-forward approach to propel industry advancement with a people-first approach. Expertise - We will always ensure that our goals, strategies, and initiatives are informed by expert opinions, validated research, and personal perspectives that uncover key trends and propose solutions in an evolving sector.
