About The SOS Agency
The SOS Agency embraces diversity, partners in accessibility, and empowers communication through building relationships and providing excellent interpreting services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Based locally in Atlanta, Georgia, The SOS Agency has grown to provide interpreters nationwide. The SOS Agency was founded by Tanesh Foster, who discovered the world of sign language interpreting at the age of 13 while attending a church service. That inspired her to enroll in an ASL course, and she enjoyed the experience of learning sign language. Tanesh has a bachelor’s degree in Sign Language Interpreting and a postgraduate degree in Post-secondary Education as well. She is also a licensed interpreter, authorized by RID at the national level, and could not think of pursuing anything else. Tanesh is excited about the younger generation of interpreters because of their infectious energy and enthusiasm. She is a part-time instructor, mentor, and guide for the Georgia State University interpreting curriculum. Her latest pursuit involves pursuing a certificate in court reporting. Through her guidance, The SOS Agency has flourished, quickly becoming the new favorite among interpreters. From medical settings, to concerts, to places of education, and everything in-between, The SOS Agency does it all. We go beyond mere transactions; we build relationships.
