The Studio at Fernando Bengoechea was founded in memory of internationally acclaimed photographer Fernando Bengoechea, with the mission of keeping his art alive by preserving, reviving, and evolving the unique Woven Photography style he introduced to the art world in the late ’90s. Refusing to let his brother’s artistry fade, Marcelo—a creative executive by profession—left his corporate career to dedicate himself fully to this mission. Through his work, he reminds us that we are all Woven Together by love, inspiring others to live life to its fullest. Marcelo meticulously hand-weaves Fernando’s iconic photographs, following his brother’s vision and feeling his presence in every piece. Each woven image carries Fernando’s spirit, creating a tangible connection between past and present. Since launching in 2019, The Studio has sold over 700 pieces of all sizes through a select group of retail partners and online. Based in Encinitas, Southern California, Marcelo continues Fernando’s adventurous spirit, frequently traveling to exotic destinations and sharing his brother’s art and legacy with the world. The Studio is proud to support several organizations that reflect Fernando’s life and passions.
