About The Welding Mentor
The Welding Mentor CIC is a community interest company that teaches women, especially those in ethnic communities to weld. After working closely with Leeds City Council to create costume frames for Leeds West Indian Carnival, our founder Ramel Bailey received a lot of interest from women wanting to learn how to weld and create their own artwork and costume frames. Thus, The Welding Mentor was born! We will offer online and in person trainings for women who want to learn how to weld, as less than 10% of all welders are black, and less than 4% of welders in the U.K are women!
