About The White House gallery

The White House is an initiative of Bert & Elly Verlinden-Kog. They recently made a career switch from a commercial and management function to this art project. Their longstanding interest in contemporary art resulted in an own gallery in a uniquely situated historical building. The couple will use their professional experience and fascination for contemporary art to work for the long term development of upcoming and mid-career artists. They will exhibit, promote and sell their work in Belgium and abroad. In the multipurpose space, art related activities such as performances, book presentations, lectures, temporary art installations, etc. will take place. The gallery opens with a group exposition in the White House and the audio/visual project 'written & unwritten' of Patrick Keulemans in the Hall. In both spaces, much attention is given to the scenography and the fit with the rest orated house situated in the green environment of the arboretum.
