Founded in 2001, The Wireless Alliance works with charities, schools, businesses, recyclers, wireless stores, and carriers. In 2012 ,The Wireless Alliance recycled over 120 tons of cellular phones and peripheral materials. All of these materials are processed and repurposed in full compliance with R2 ,EPA,ISO,and OSHAS standards. In 2013, The Wireless Alliance recycled or repurposed approximately 1.7 million cellular handsets.
