Therapy Department is a virtual wellness practice that provides consulting, training, therapy, and speaking services worldwide. Areas of service include relationships, personal growth, LGBTQIA+ healthcare, diversity, and inclusion. Clients include businesses, corporations, organizations, universities, associations, entrepreneurs, and consumers. With over 15 years of clinical experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community, Dr. Kristie is passionate about teaching health and wellness providers how to provide care with dignity. She is the founder and president of Therapy Department. She provides virtual training and services throughout the world. She thrives on helping others improve their personal and professional lives. Dr. Kristie is a Speaker, Trainer, Clinical Sexologist, Certified Sex Therapist, and licensed counselor in California, Georgia, and Florida. Her mission is to ensure that all care providers feel confident and supported to provide exceptional care to anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community. After working with thousands of clients and peers, she has identified 8 areas of cultural competencies for providers working with the LGBTQIA+ community. This is the foundation of the Transgender Healthcare Dignity Model and certification training program she created to help providers feel more confident and competent in working with transgender and nonbinary individuals. She has trained hundreds of providers in medical, behavioral, and wellness care. Many of these trainees have completed certification as Dignity Model Certified Providers (DMCP), proving their competencies in providing dignity care. Her life goal is to ensure that every medical, behavioral, and wellness provider is trained in the Dignity Model. Therapy Department continues to thrive as a leader in consulting and education for on-site and virtual services.
