About Transart Institute

Transart Institute for Creative Research has been at the forefront of low-residency, interdisciplinary, international creative research programs since 2004. Developed and run entirely by artists, the Institute offers several practice-based programs: PhD, MFA and Academy courses, generating space for experimentation and thinking in any form with endless resources for sharing and connecting. We champion self-directed, curious, flexible and socially engaged creative researchers working independently or collectively. Participate in International Intensives, Retreats, Residencies and monthly translocal Sessions, while working independently with dedicated advisors and peer groups. In partnership with Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), earn an MFA, PhD or further your independent creative praxis through the Academy with other international practitioners. We offer a unique, interdisciplinary atmosphere uniting all creative fields under one nomadic roof.
