You can try to use a new time management system, install a new app or even attend a time management course. For a while, it can lower stress, but in the long term, it will not help. Your new shiny journal and management skills will soon result in an even busier schedule. And rising stress levels. But there is a better way which actually works. I've found out that when frustration from living sets in, things go from bad to worse until I pause. The only way to get well again was to re-examine all areas of my life. To rediscover who I am and to set boundaries for myself and those around me. For years I came up with a foolproof system, which not only helped me when I was in a rut but also kept me out of it over time. I call it the Tree of Life Quest. Tree of Life Quest is a philosophy of life. It keeps me focused on the things which matter to me. And the best thing is, once set up, it grows on its own, like a tree. It takes a few minutes per day to check if everything I plan to do is helping my Tree of Life to thrive. It's also easy to spot a poison before it enters my schedule. The first implementation took some effort. Trying to save a big tree takes some work. There's no way around it. But hey, my life was worth it.
