The Ukrainian Canadian Congress of Saskatchewan is a provincial organization that provides programs and services for the Saskatchewan community to maintain, develop and share its Ukrainian Canadian identity and aspirations. MANDATED GOALS 1. Act as the recognized provincial representative for the Ukrainian Canadian community before the people and Government of Saskatchewan; 2. Strengthen and co-ordinate the participation of Saskatchewan Ukrainians in the province’s civic, social and cultural life through the delivery of programs and services; 3. Support its members through good governance, effective communication and active engagement with its stakeholders; 4. Assist and promote efforts by UCC Saskatchewan Branches to serve as focal points of the Ukrainian community in their regions. 5. Bring awareness to the history of the Ukrainian people and support the preservation and development of Saskatchewan’s Ukrainian cultural identity; 6. Contribute to Saskatchewan’s diversity by fully participating in the community and cultural sectors of the province; 7. Lend support to the Ukrainian Canadian Congress (national) towards its goals; and 8. Promote the development of friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Saskatchewan and Ukraine.
