About University of Exeter Student Sport

The University of Exeter is home to some of the best sports facilities in UK Universities with a commitment to Excellence in Sport for all our students, staff and users. We are dedicated to providing an excellent sporting experience to all players, at all levels, of all ages and across all our sports. Over the past decade we have invested in excess of £25 million in the creation of the highest quality training environments, resources and services for the development, coaching and playing of sport. Clubs and activities - we provide support for 50 sports clubs who welcome both international athletes and students who have never tried the sport. The clubs offer social sport, competition and coaching opportunities as well as a safe environment to make friends. In addition to clubs we have over 5,000 students engaged in Intramural sport, the Healthy Halls initiative, events and other activities throughout the year. BUCS - our performances in the British Universities and Colleges Sports competitions reflect our commitment to excellence, we consistently finish in the top 10 in the UK and were 5th in the 2018/2019 season. Points are scored and achievements gained across a wide range of team sports and individual events, we award sports scholarships each year in sports within our Performance Programme: Cricket (Mens and Womens) Golf Hockey (Mens and Womens) Netball Rowing Rugby Union (Mens and Womens) Sailing Tennis Lacrosse The Performance Programme supports approximately 450 athletes as well as working with National Governing Bodies of Sport and the TASS programme to support high performance sportsmen and women.
