About Vancouver Aboriginal Community Policing Centre
The Vancouver Aboriginal Community Policing Centre Society is a non-profit organization that is governed by an all Aboriginal Board of Directors. VACPCS provides a safe place where community members can gather to identify, discuss, and address justice and safety issues in Vancouver. It also serves as a positive link between the Vancouver Aboriginal Community and the Vancouver Police Department (VPD). We provide an avenue to engage and support Aboriginal people to better understand and utilize the services of the VPD. The VACPCS will rely on heavily on on volunteers to help operate the Centre as well as to carry out any programming and initiatives. We ask that you spread the word amongst your family, friends and co-workers to help raise awareness of the volunteer opportunities that will be developed at the VACPCS. The VACPCS is located on 875 East Hastings St. Vancouver, BC V6A 1R8.
