Founded in 1971, VBT Bicycling and Walking Vacations offers over 50 deluxe, small group bicycling, walking, and barge & sail vacations worldwide—including destinations throughout Europe, South Africa, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Vietnam, Peru, Chile, Canada and the United States. Each trip includes all accommodations, many meals, two expert local Trip Leaders, unique sightseeing and cultural activities, and full van support. Unlike other companies, VBT also includes round-trip international airfare from over 30 U.S. cities and select Canadian cities for all overseas vacations. VBT promises its travelers excellent worldwide discovery vacations with low prices and unsurpassed value. VBT was voted one of the Top Ten Tour Operators - 2018 Travel + Leisure "World's Best Awards", our 8th time making the list. In 2015, our 'Holland and Belgium Bike and Barge' tour was selected as one of National Geographic Traveler Magazine’s “50 Tours of a Lifetime,” by the magazine’s editors, and was featured in the May issue along with a competitive array of tours from operators all over the world. In 2009, VBT received a Gold Magellan Award from Travel Weekly for Excellence in Marketing, and in 2009, for the second year in a row, VBT Bicycling Vacations was named as one of the “Best Biking Outfitters on Earth” by National Geographic Adventure magazine.
