Vernon Memorial Healthcare (VMH) is a unique rural health care system. In a time of large corporations and the depersonalization of patient care, Vernon Memorial Healthcare's moderate size offers meaningful provider-patient relationships in a modern setting. High quality care is the standard at VMH. Providers and long-tenured staff are as dedicated as they are professional. Our patients give us high marks in every category of care. Vernon Memorial Hospital provides primary and secondary acute care services, as well as diagnostic, preventative and emergency services, on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. In addition, the VMH medical staff includes board-certified physicians in family practice, general practice, general surgery, pediatrics, and orthopaedic surgery. VMH offers a full range of health care services including: OR, orthopaedics, kidney dialysis, therapies department, comprehensive imaging services, cardiopulmonary testing and rehabilitation, home health and hospice care, a 24-hour emergency department, an After Hours Clinic, and more than 22 visiting specialists who hold office hours in our Outpatient Speciality Care Clinic. Vernon Memorial Healthcare includes Vernon Memorial Hospital, a critical access hospital with 25 beds; six area physician clinics – Bland Clinic-VMH, Hirsch Clinic-VMH, VMH Family Practice and Complementary Medicine, La Farge Medical Clinic-VMH, Kickapoo Valley Medical Clinic-VMH and VMH Outpatient Specialty Care; home health and hospice services; three retail pharmacies; a Wellness Center and restaurant/grille.
