About Visually Speaking
Visually Speaking LLC - Photographic retouching services Offering all forms of Photoshop retouching, production and restoration. Specializing in catalog retouching and color correction. I opened the business license in 1984, shortly after graduating from high-school. After a couple small illustration jobs, I entered the regular workforce. My business license went inactive and remained dormant until 2007. 2007 after 15 years employment, I was laid off from Ivey Imaging, as the company reorganized and moved to Oregon. I worked a brief period at Image Mill in Redmond Wa. My desire was to work imagery, rather then run printers and left that position. The economy continue to falter, I decided to reopen my business license, focusing on professional level retouching. As an independent my rate could be considerably less then the big providers. Freelancing part time with Imagine Color Service, I remained open to opportunities and soon connected with Sanmar US, with whom I worked with until 2012. 2013 brought connections with Sanmar Canada and Motofish. 2016 the business was incorporated into an LLC. 2019 and moving into 2020! A dozen years of independent work, hard to believe it's been that long. 2020 First Year of Covid has passed with economic disaster! Forced shut downs and regulations closed down clients or created company restructures that left my business without work. Government assistance helps the necessities, until joining REI in December as a premedia contractor. December 2021, one year mark with REI. Hours are full time, glad to be part of a great team and highly impressed with the studio. Good to assist efficiencies while watching the Studio and Company evolve. 2022 July, REI cutbacks catch up to me. 2023 Little freelance work, efforts focused on finalizing Dad's estate. 2024 What comes next?
