About We're All-In
We're All-In was co-founded by Jessica Cintron and Mark Checkwicz - community advocates in Springfield,MA. They are recent graduates of Springfield College which is where they met as part of a research team exploring the lack of attention given to potential gambling addiction on that campus and at other colleges and universities. They are long-time citizens of Springfield, homeowners there, and both have children in the public school system. We ARE ALL-IN seeks to provide students, especially those in underserved communities, a suite of educational services including financial literacy tools that they need to succeed in a fast-paced economic landscape. We are specifically motivated to provide financial-harm-prevention techniques and strategies to help inform decisions that our youth must make about college, careers, investments, and gambling. While our emphasis is on the student-aged population, we also focus on educating the broader "village" surrounding these students. These students are dependent upon a healthy community so that they may thrive. Informed stakeholders can make better decisions about our youth. We're All-In seeks to solidify the economic stability of our "village" by advocating for progressive legislation pertaining our core mission, specifically Gambling Treatment Diversion Courts (see below). Importantly, we also offer Professional Development training of secondary-school staff members and college administrations with the goal of creating mutually supportive strategies. We are available to present to any and all community stakeholders to assist them in understanding the impact that a dearth of financial literacy has on a student population and to become aware of the widespread gambling/gaming addiction that exists in youth ages 11-25.
