About Working for Health
Working for Health CIC was founded in 2015 to improve the employment opportunities for people with mental health conditions. We believe everyone has the skills and talents to work if the work is right for them. Our aim is to increase the number of people with mental health conditions in employment; reduce stigma and discrimination in the workplace; and decrease the number of people who lose their jobs as a result of mental ill health. We support the employment aspirations of people with mental health conditions those with multiple and complex needs. We work to a proven model of support which focuses on the individual. For those seeking employment this method ensures that the job is right for them, the employment is competitive and in their chosen area. Our founders, Diane and Ricky have a robust track record of providing specialist employment services to people with mental health conditions and have made significant differences to the lives of hundreds of people. They have improved life skills, employability and education and have supported the majority of clients to secure and maintain employment in partnership with their employers and other key stakeholders. This important work has been recognised locally and nationally, but at Working for Health we feel there is always more work to be done.
