About YEG Connect Employer Forum

The Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) is collaborating with a national network of Immigrant Employment Councils on the Feedback Channels National Project (2023-2025). The project will engage businesses to look at challenges and opportunities for newcomer inclusion in Canadian business to improve successful labour market participation by newcomers and fill gaps for employers seeking skilled talent. ERIEC will convene the YEG Connect Employer Forum to engage employers and stakeholders from non-profit and post-secondary organizations on bottlenecks to hiring newcomer talent. We will identify bottlenecks, investigate potential solutions to create viable proto-types to fill the gap for employers on hiring newcomer talent. We will generate business intel on potential solutions through the YEG Connect channel and curate information from the national knowledge hub.
