It is the mission of YMCA Camp Benson to provide a safe, fun, magical and educational experiences for our campers through the demonstration of the four core values.; caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility and by practicing a camper first philosophy. Sending a child to camp is an act of great faith by parents. As a camp, we take that responsibility very seriously. We strive to maintain an environment that both encourages personal growth and creates an unforgettable summer experience. The Camp Benson community is a caring and supporting one, and at the core of everything that takes place at camp. While Camp Benson's facilities (all modern with heat and air conditioning) and location are terrific, we believe that it’s our camp staff that make the summer experience truly special. At YMCA Camp Benson you will find a tremendous concentration of “great campers” and “great role-models” that provide a wonderfully inclusive environment for your child. We have so many first-time camp families in large part because of the emphasis we place on training campers to be become staff through the Staff Development Program. And we're not only a summer camp... Whether you're a business developing your long range plan, a college training for the upcoming student orientation, or a church spending time in devotion and celebration, YMCA Camp Benson will work closely with you to align your goals and expectations in order to create a custom designed experience. We can provide programs, activities, conference rooms, audio/video/technical support, cabin-style lodging, WiFi, and homemade meals to meet all of your needs. We have a conference room that can accommodate anywhere from 20 - 200 people. We can provide an array of recreations, adventure, and educational programming that allows your members to reconnect with each other and with nature. YMCA Camp Benson is an excellent location to build your team, group, vision, and future.
