About Bartlett Maritime Corporation
Bartlett Maritime Corporation was founded in 2019 to address the crisis in submarine maintenance through aggressive, innovative measures. Headquartered in Cleveland, we seek to leverage the industrial capacity of the Great Lakes region and the extensive experience of the company’s leadership team in the naval shipyard and nuclear-powered submarine industry. Current industrial base shortfalls have contributed to a backlog in submarine maintenance, leaving too many submarines unavailable for operations. Delays in submarine construction and increasing national obligations to support AUKUS have compounded the challenges facing the submarine force. BMC proposes to expand the submarine industrial base by constructing and operating component repair facilities in northeast Ohio and establishing a rotational workforce of skilled trades workers to support submarine construction and maintenance. Our proposal also includes an option to build a new public naval shipyard in Charleston, S.C.
