About Bouge de là

Founded in the year 2000 by Hélène Langevin, Bouge de là is dedicated to the creation and performance of high-calibre dance works intended for young audiences, while offering a range of cultural mediation activities that provide those taking part with a meaningful artistic experience in the world of dance. Based in the province of Quebec, its shows are full of humour and poetry and integrate a wide variety of artistic disciplines (such as video art, theatre, Chinese shadow puppetry). Its repertoire consists of eight dance works, the most recent of which, Through My Eyes, was awarded the Prix du CALQ for Best Choreographic Production in Quebec for the 2018-2019 season at the Prix de la danse de Montréal. To date, its works have enjoyed almost 1300 performances throughout Canada and, more recently, in China and Mexico, reaching over 300,000 young spectators. In 2017 Bouge de là launched the game 26 cartes à danser, a unique educational and artistic initiative that has seen enormous success with schools and families, not only in Quebec but all over Canada and Europe.
