The Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor Foundation raises funds through our weekly Thrift Sale, turning your generous donations and purchases into grants, scholarships, and community support. Since 1921, our total giving to the greater Ann Arbor community has surpassed $12.9 million. In FY2024 the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor Foundation gave $1.6 million in cash grants and gifted goods in Washtenaw County through various programs. 107 community organizations were supported by our annual grant cycle, 35 students received a 'Finish Line' Scholarship to Washtenaw Community College, our weekly vouchers program supported 522 individuals and families, and our gifted goods program supported 73 other local agencies. While our annual giving is strongly supported by individual contributions from the membership of the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor, the majority of our ability to support the Ann Arbor community comes from our weekly Kiwanis Thrift Sale. Over 140 members, 170 volunteers and 16 staff work six days a week to take in, sort, price, stock and resell donated items from members of our community. Without the generous support of community members, over 55,000 hours of volunteer work, and a dedicated staff our community giving would not be possible.
