About UltrasoundCases.info

As of September 2018 SonoSkills took over the realm of UltrasoundCases.info. It was started in 2004 by Dr. Taco Geertsma and was supported in his effort by Hitachi. In 2019 we completely revamped the website and the goal is to open this platform for anyone who'd like to share interesting cases: for the community, by the community. The site is developed as a teaching file. It contains a large number of general ultrasound cases from the teaching files from Dr. Taco Geertsma who worked for many years at the Gelderse Vallei Hospital in Ede, the Netherlands. The cases are collected over the years by the radiologists and ultrasound technicians of the hospital. All the cases are presented with images in different projections and annotations to point out specific features. A number of video loops are sometimes added to demonstrate the dynamic aspects of the various types of pathology. When available, relevant images of other imaging modalities, like MRI and X-ray, are also added.
